Katie Drees is originally from South Carolina, but moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2007 to earn her graduate degree in counseling. Following school, she worked with FWISD in elementary behavior classrooms teaching social skills, developing and implementing behavior plans while also providing parent training. During her time in the DFW area she also provided counseling to children, adolescents and their families at a private counseling center. Katie says, “Working with children has always been my passion and the special needs community has a special place in my heart. While my family is in South Carolina, I travel there often and love spending time with them. I enjoy doing all things outdoors with my dog Humphrey, binge watching tv, eating good food and spending time with the people I love.”
