With over 30 years of experience in nursing and advanced practice, Deborah Castro is a compassionate and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to holistic, patient-centered care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Deborah’s career has been marked by her leadership and commitment to excellence. During her time at Seton Northwest Emergency Room, she served as a Magnet Champion and was a founding member of the Seton Nursing Research Cohort, spearheading numerous quality improvement initiatives. Her deep passion for understanding disease processes and preventive care across all ages ultimately led her to family practice, where she empowers patients to achieve their health goals.
Outside the clinic, Deborah enjoys life with her husband, dog, and cat. She has a green thumb for gardening, a love for outdoor exercise, and a spirit for adventure through travel. As a dedicated advocate for Dark Skies International, she actively supports initiatives to reduce light pollution and preserve the beauty of our night skies.
