Insurance Information
We know health insurance can be confusing, and we’re here to help make the process as simple as possible. Georgetown Pediatrics & Family Medicine participates with many major insurance plans. Because insurance networks change periodically, we recommend contacting your insurance carrier directly to confirm that our providers are in-network under your specific plan.
If you don’t see your insurance listed, or if you have questions about coverage, our team is happy to help you understand your options. Self-pay rates may be available for patients without insurance coverage.
Please note that patients and families are responsible for any costs not covered by their insurance plan, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and non-covered services. Statements may include both Georgetown Pediatrics & Family Medicine and Austin Health Partners, which manages our centralized billing services.
For Newborn Parents
Congratulations on your new addition!
Most insurance plans require newborns to be added to a parent’s policy within the first 30 days after birth. We encourage families to contact their insurance provider as soon as possible after delivery to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
When calling your insurance company, have your baby’s birth certificate and Social Security number available if requested.
If we are unable to verify active insurance coverage by your baby’s 2-month well visit, your account may be considered self-pay until coverage can be confirmed. If this happens, our team will gladly walk you through the available options and next steps.
